What is the Green Drink?
My friend Jenn introduced me to the green drink - or what they call it in California - the Blended Salad.
The main ingredient is a powdered energy supplement. Currently, I am using Nature's Plus Vegetarian Fruitein High Protein Shake. It has over 50 fruits, vegetables and green foods. It is like taking a super-sized multi-vitamin. Jenn uses the brand Vitaforce. I don't like taking pills, I have a hard time swallowing them, so this is the best way to receive my vitamins.
Directions say to use 1 scoop per 6 oz water or milk. Or you can make it into a smoothie. I have tried many different combinations and so far my favorite is water, spinach, a banana, and frozen raspberries. Jenn suggested using a banana to make it a smoother taste. Jenn also suggests to add avocado...it is good for your skin.
You can have the drink as a meal or snack. It is quite filling. I am currently only having it for breakfast.
